30th Anniversary Gala

2026 marks the 30th Anniversary of official opening of the Northampton & Lamport Railway! Here’s what you can look forward to: Explore a variety of local Craft and Gift Stalls, a 5″ Miniature Railway, Live Music, Kid’s Activities including Face Painting, a Bouncy Castle, Tours of the Signal Box, a Traction Engine, a “Pop-Up” Beer Stall, Hogg Roast and plenty more…. There will be Heritage Buses providing a shuttle service from the Northampton Town Centre and from our Boughton Station. Introducting our special guest locomotive, an ex-Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway “27” class     0-6-0 No. 52322 that will feature on all three days of the Gala. There wlll also be an intensive timetable of steam and heritage diesel-hauled passenger trains and demonstration freight trains, including the ironstone tippler wagons. Take a return train trips through the stunning Northamptonshire countryside, hauled by a vintage steam or diesel locomotive. Pay a visit to our Souvenir Shop at the station, where you’ll find a wide selection of gifts, books, toys, and other charming items. Drop into the Pitsford and Brampton Station’s “Platform 3 Buffet” offering a range of hot and cold drinks, tasty snacks, and freshly made hot food. Why not pop into a Public House located next to the Pitsford & Brampton or Boughton Stations for a pre- or post-ride treat? Take a pleasant stroll along the Brampton Valley Way, right next to the stations. Enjoy complimentary parking at the Pitsford and Brampton Station. Free public parking is also available just a short walk (approximately 250 metres) from the Boughton Station.
